Marko … i doubt this guy will be ready! Three years of limited training (“exercise” only) … i have a broken right arm currently and headed for knee surgery at the end of OCT
My first goal is to not get overly fat!
If things are going really well i might be in for the first 100!
I hope you have a regular road bike for that course.
My Best …
You better believe it Litespeed Tuscany NO WAY i’d be doing that on a TRI bike… ascents and descents at 78 degrees… yikes
Damn… what have you done to yourself… heal up strong amigo… and come back stronger!
Vineman race course?
I knew I wouldn’t be the first to get this.
wow… thanks a lot!
i’ve got a flat 200 miler in April that i hope (kinda) preps me for this one. talk about time in the saddle. how many people usually tackly the whole race (all distances) and how many do the 200? thanks
I once drove from Sarasota, FL to Tallahassee, Fl. (310 miles) using only my knees. A little dangerous, but I was only going like 80.
yeah… that sounds just like me… ![]()
eat, talk on the phone, take notes, etc., etc… “it’s fun officer. seriously you should try it”
I’m a latecomer to this thead: this is right by the Russian River, just short of the turn-off to the “summer bridge”, and a little upstream from Guerneville. The turn-off you see to the left is a sparkling wine vintner – Korbel – I think.

BTW, I wanted to add, if you’re in this area, take a turn off onto Westside road, ride past a bunch of wineries. Then turn onto Sweetwater Springs for a beautiful ride on a hot day – and one bitch of a grade. For me, it took 300 watts just to keep moving…

Yep…River road and I believe those are Pinot Noir grapes Korbel uses for their Blanc de Noir. Have not been on the road for a week or so but harvest there probably already done. I actually don’t like riding this road that much due to high level of traffic and the fact that it is major thouroughfare to the coast. So in the summer the west bound direction has higher alcohol content drivers!
Lot’s of great riding areas around here and luckily most folks just seem to stick to the major well known routes.
spot on!!!
