unfortunately I had another commitment as I really wanted to race. I have ridden the bike course a few times. If it doesn’t get hot it will be really fast.
The lake is like a bathtub, I doubt it will be wetsuit legal.
I am saving up all my energy to try and get a Alcatraz slot at the great lake escape. I should have a good shot because I will still be in 25-29. My birthday is 6 days after the race, next year I gotta race with the big boys.
that should be a fun race. I didn’t know they had slots for alcatraz…
Slots go to the top 2 in each AG, you guys should come up for that one.
I’ll be at a training camp. But it sounds fun.

You gals still up? Marisol - how’s the IM training coming? Greydog - you coming to Kona? It was a beautiful, sunny morning in Kona and I was thinking about how much Marisol is going to love swimming in Kailua Bay.

Does this sound like the beginning of an “artistic film” to anyone else?
Maybe you order up some “room service” and the studly waiter brings you some late “dessert.”
Maybe the A/C will break down and you’ll need to call the studly repair guy to “turn up the heat.”
Maybe you decide to take a late night skinny dip in the hotel pool and the studly night janitor catches you and offers to “towel you off.”
Maybe you hear a scary noise in the middle of the night and have to call in the studly night security guard to “serve and protect” you.
Or, maybe you watch a movie on the TV, eat some pasta, and turn in early because you have to get up before the crack of dawn to set up your transition area. Oh well.

Yeah, my exciting Saturday evening consists of me watching the Lance retrospective on OLN and munching on a Baker’s Breakfast Cookie, so I can relate. Only, I have no excuse, I just don’t have a social life.
hey football mom:-) training is good for the most part. i had 2 great weeks and last week was a down weekand it sucked. But overall I think I am good, we’ll see how the race go tomorrow. can’t wait for kona:-)
