Greeting of the Geese Duathlon

Has anyone on these boards done this race before?

I was wondering what type of gearing would work best for the “rolling hills”. I have been to races where “rolling hills” are really pretty steep and others where “rolling hills” were really pretty flat.

I was wondering if I should swap my 42 for a 39 (12 x 21 cassette). I know I should just get a 50x34 and then it wouldn’t be an issue at all. OOPS, wrong thread!

Hey DB,

I did the race last year, a 42 up front with a 21 in the back is boarderline. I will use a 42/23 for the last hill on the way back to the park. If your a strong cyclist, you probably will be able to get away with it. Hope this helps and if I can kill-off this liggering URTI I will see you at the race.
