That is absolutely awesome!! Thanks!

That is a great photo and a wonderful sentiment. All in all, the competition between rivals while racing on the road in the Tour was typified by exceptional sportmanship over the last 7 years. That was a pleasure to see.

Class…pure and simple.

Jan: “Thanks for not racing next year.”

(feel free to post directly…on an apple here…)

It’s post like that that make us hate the French

thank you

Nice one, Francois…I’ve still got a pair of those shades in the old momentos box…and I think I’ve still got a pair of QR tri bottoms like that, though in black…hell…I could mimic that outfit pretty well…MINUS THAT HAIR…nice cool 'do Lancey boy had back then…

back on topic…I watched that moment on the podium…it was definitely a fitting moment. Lance and Jan certainly were feeling the loss from the end of their rivalry…Very genuine…It seemed like, a few moments later, when Lance was allowed to speak, that the opportunity caught him a bit unprepared, because his comments didn’t seem to measure up to what he was trying to get across…

I think Lance might claim that it was a cold water swim, and that there was shrinkage involved. And, for the record, I can’t believe I actually looked. Not that there is anything wrong with looking, of course.

I may have a pair of sunglasses like that too in a drawer somewhere.

That pic must have been taken before cancer?

Sorry, I had to.

which husband was that?

back on topic - that was a wonderful moment. Certainly good sportsmanship on Lances part, but Jan impresses me even more, considering how many tours he’d have won - if not for Lance.

This is my favorite TDF photo:
