I had a very nice 36 mile training ride . The temp was cool in the low 40s. The St. Lawerence river was so nice. Big blue sky. I road by a bison ranch. I was 10 feet from the bison. They are big. Later on two deer ran out from behind a large pile of hay. No flats and no thing broke. The shuffle was full of tunes. We are very luckey folks arn’t we. How did your training go ?
I live on the dark side (usa) . You live across the river No ?
Very nice day . Cool though. I was out to Tibbets point light house. across from Wolf island.
Rode about 40K last evening. Sun was setting just as I pulled back in the drive way at about 7:45pm. Temp was dropping the whole ride. Still cool here 8C. Snow is completely gone. Some roads are still in terrible shape - frost heaved, broken, covered in sand. Some sections on my ride looked a bit like the Paris-Roubaix parcours. Nice to be out though. May not have time to ride until the weekend. The creeks and streams are burbling away. Strange looking ducks migrating through hanging out in road side ponds. Saw a hawk make a dive into an open field. I like riding at this time of the year.
looking forward to a very nice, but slightly chilly ride this evening with the team. I’ll probalby put in about 80km when all is said and done, half of it done in a death line echelon race simulation! Gotta love tuesday nights in Mississauga. I’ll let you know how it goes later on. The sun is shining, and we’ll have a tail wind out, so I’m expecting some pretty good speeds.
