Is this race usually wetsuit legal?
Usually, but not necessarily. Come prepared.
It was legal last year, and I think it usually is, but you can’t count on it. Give some thought to a longjohn though, since the water will be plenty warm. I used a fullsuit last year, and I regreted it.
Most years it is wetsuit legal, but even I was pretty warm with a longjohn. Considering the time advantage of the suit I am not 100% certain I would wear the suit again next time.
Wear your Kevlar wetsuit 'cause the gators have taken to neoprene. That’s why all the survivors love the race. 
Nothing like having your opposition eaten before T2.
