Im moving out into the country where 90% of the less traffic roads are all dirt. Should I be concerned about getting a trail type shoe? I run currently in newtons and a pair of saucony a4’s.
Depends. If the roads are just hard packed dirt regular shoes should be fine. If there is a lot of gravel on the surface then a tougher more stable trail shoe would be best.
no not at all. stick with what you have.
Nope, I run on gravel all the time. As long as the roads are driveable by cars, you can run with normal shoes.
The A4’s have ported soles, don’t they? Little pebbles will get stuck in the holes. You’ll probably die as a result.
I’m really liking the new crossmax line from salomon. Prefect road/ trail hybrid shoe.
Yeah its super irritating when a bigger pebble gets stuck in the shoe

Totally agree. A bit on the heavy side for me but otherwise awesome in both environs. Why didn’t I think to mention these…
