Grand Prix Supersonic? 20 or 23mm on Zipp toroidal rim shape?

Anyone using a Conti GP Supersonic, specifically for front? Found a three year old thread, but interested in any more recent experiences? 20 or 23mm for Zipp 404/808?

i know they have really low crr, but arent they not so great on the durability side?

Not sure, but I’d like to know. I’m thinking a weekly 20 or 40k TT, and perhaps an occasional training ride. I’m 66 kg and typically pretty easy on tires, though the quality of the road surface seems to be diminishing!

Anyone else ever used the GP Supersonic, front only for tt use?

Bump, I was wondering the same. Was thinking of using a 20mm supersonic on a HED3 rear wheel…

I was using the Supersonic on the front on my roadie. No issues with durability or flats. At 185, I wouldn’t use it on the rear.

Take a look at the latest rolling resistance tests from AFM. Continentals are really known for having low rolling resistance. There are much better choices.

Isn’t low rolling resistance good? Will look up AFM. Any links?

Thanks,
Jerrod

The 20mm will be faster on the older Zipps.

I run 23mm Supersonics front and rear (J9 C2 up front and Renn disc in back). Smooth, fast, supple tire. I’m 180 and haven’t seen excessive wear and no flats yet (10 races on them, including WF long course).
