Vote for a Republican, registers Democrat. . . . .Ah Chicago politics at their best.
Come on - it was just a “calibration error”!
a guy must be a total fiend if his subconscious won’t let him vote for himself
.
I would never had guessed Schaumburg was part of Cook County. It didn’t get the nickname Crook County for playing it by the book.

Granted I’m not a native in Chicago but we have been here for 11 years now…and I’m still amazed at some of these stories as they pop up.
Oh and +1 on Schaumburg is part of Cook County? Had no idea…well there’s another reason to dislike the place. Adding to the list:
-Ikea
-Woodfield Mall
-Ikea
-Part of Cook County
*I’ve been dragged to Ikea WAY too many times during out first few years in the area
No surprise on the corruption. I’ve lived in Dekalb for 8 years and have never even been to Schaumburg.

Schaumburg has Lego Land.** **Reason enough to go.
I haven’t been to Woodfield in several years. Last time I went I went with my brother to do some Christmas shopping. We’d stop, get a drink, shop…drink…shop…drink…drink…shop…drink…drink…drink ![]()

It really most likely was an issue with the touch screen itself. if you are using a touch screen you really need to make sure that it is recording the vote like you want. They have an area of the screen for each race/candidate that registers as a vote. If the area is off from what is displayed you get issues like this. And I don’t believe that the states even have access to the source code for these machines, so tampering with them really gets to be tough.
Not sure about IL, but in most places, the order of candidates changes depending on the voter or the voting machine, to keep from one party always being listed first. So theoretically, errors like this should even out.
And if you want to steal elections, the best place to do it is in the counting, not in the recording, people can check it there, just like this guy did.

You really think they aren’t rigging the counting?

My buddy from NYC lived here for a year for work. He said Schaumburg people were our B&T people. After visiting him in Manhattan and going out I tend to agree.
Wasn’t this a fear of the Democrats a few years ago? I seem to remember the left had an issue with the maker of voting machines, Diebold, and there was some fear those machines could be hacked.
I also remember this:
“If they bring a knife to the fight, we’ll bring a gun”

Do you really believe if they were going to take the time, effort and potential jail time they would have made the rigging this obvious?

And not Baltimore switching GOP ballots to Democrats. . . .Hmmm
