Got An Epidural Today...Hope it helps

So I have been basically laid up for a year now ( well just about) I try to train but the pain becomes too much.

I have been misdiagnosed with many many many different things. Turns out it is likely that it is a nerve root issue due to a compressioin at my L5, which is abutting the S1 nerve cause pain down both legs. I like to call it extreme sciatica.

I went to the pain clinic to and got an epidural to hopefully alleviate some of the pain…who amI kidding hopefully all.

This is apparently my last grasp before surgery becomes apparent.

My lesson in all of this: Some military doctors and PT’s just don’t give a f**k. Don’t take one doctor or even one practices opinion fight to see specialists.

Who knows if this is even going to help but it is certainly better than some guy looking through a book and guessing restless leg syndrome

Where are you located and what branch are you in?

This guy is a supposed miracle worker - and just one heck of a nice guy. I always know then it is my “break day” as every year on the date I broke C1, C2, C4 and C5 he calls to ask how I am. Super nice guy.

I am actually part of the Canadian Forces currently in Victoria BC, but off to Ottawa in a few days.

My buddy, Stef32, and I are actually discussing visiting your fine race next year, if I have a return to action.
