For the ultimate Tour aficionado with money to burn, Giant is producing a very limited edition bike in honor of the Tour’s 100 th birthday. The TCR Tour 100 is an almost entirely different machine from their top-line TCR bikes (ridden by the likes of Joseba Beloki and the rest of his Once-Eroski teammates). This very special bike sports a black and white graphics package with accents taken from the French *tricolore *. Special components include Campagnolo’s Bora deep-section carbon wheels (just over 1,300 grams/pair!), and a handmade AX Lightness saddle designed exclusively for this machine. The complete bike will set you back a whopping $10,000. Giant, not being
foolish, knows that’s a limited market so only five of these machines will be imported to the U.S. , almost guaranteeing collectible status.
