Gopro users, what gimble to use?

I have a gopro Hero3 and I’d like to use it on some the mountain bike trails and some road downhills. I have the gopro on my helmet and the video has a some bad shaking in certain sections.

Is there anyone using a gimble and if so which one? The only one I see much of is the EVO GP 3 Axis Handheld Gimbal. It’s $300 which I think is kind of pricey. Is there another camera that has a built in gimble? I don’t know if I should spend the $300 or invest in another type of camera that handle the shaking and bumps.

Have you tried the chest strap?

The top line Sony action cams have built in optical image stabilization and are probably cheaper than a gopro + a gimbal. Otherwise seems like $300+ is the going rate for a gimbal. Look for one with a good warranty.

also, chest strap does a pretty good job of smoothing the video out.
