Notice on about anything that is not real public it is cloudy? Guantanamo Bay…clouds, hell there are even clouds where Area 51 supposedly is…no clouds over any DC stuff though…No submarines at Newport News, nor in the Northern fjords of Russia. I know for CERTAIN where some silos are for US nukes…I see the house I was at where they are in the yard (Idaho) but no silo…got to wonder who at NSA is editing the images…
Uhm, not to take this to a Tibbs room conversation but Who cares.
I remember reading a thread a short time ago (not sure if it was here), with links to .kmz files for the Ironman NA races. Anybody know where they can be found, or where there are other such depositories of .kmz files.
Same thing I have been doing all morning…mapping my training runs and rides…that is why we care - this is a great tool. I have one ride from home to Lake Geneva Wi Starbucks…my estimate for the day was 110 miles…it is 55.1 miles door to door…sweet. (I never ride with a speedo nor computer - HRM only)

And the women and children between your house and the Lake Geneva Starbucks are grateful for that. ![]()

Uh, Ya I know I have posted about it here a few times. But do you ride over Missle Silo’s or Submarines? Or through Area 51 or GITMO? I dont think so…
So, who cares if the NSA is filtering what you see.
On that note: I also dont care if you think this is not the right forum.
No…the men, mostly the men…they would feel sorry for me and try to help somehow.

NO, I dont think your post was in the wrong place. Just thought my reply, might start a political discussion about peoples rights vs. govern. control.
Cool, I have to say that Google Earth is going to be a great training tool for me. I have many runs that I do that I now know the exact milage (with out GPS on me) and can find new routes. I for one had no idea that a path right by my house was actually 1.2 miles away. I knew it was 4 to a park from the path…but I never ever counted the 1.2 to and from - so my 8 mile runs were really 10…sweet.
