Good tri bags?

As the season approaches and I get a chance to start micro-managing every element of my participation in this sport, I’ve come to realize that my transition bag of the past few years (a Rudy Project duffle) is on its last legs.

So what’s everyone using? What do people recommend? My qualifications are:
-Durable thick nylon.
-Knapsack straps, to be able to throw it on my back and ride from the parking lot to the transition area.
-Large. I mean bigger than usual, with shoe pockets that can accommodate a size 14 running shoe.
-A bunch of pockets of varying sizes.

I have the DeSoto…works for me…lots of pockets. Only problem i’ve had is the string that you pull to cinch the bag broke. I just tied the two ends together.

2nd Desoto

I have a Zipp bag and have used it in events as far north as Timberman 70.3 in New Hampshire to as far south as the Pucon 70.3 in Chile with very good results. Tim

Desoto +1

Very spacious, durable and easy to carry with straps.

I highly recommend blueseventy’s bag: http://www.blueseventy.com/store/us/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=5

It’s very comfortable to wear (even when fully loaded) has tons of comparments, and even has a seperate waterproof section for your wetsuit.

Rocket Science Jane and Joe Bag…plenty of space, well made, lots of pockets. Also reasonable price.

I have a Zoot sports tri bag. It’s LARGE.

If you are looking for bigger than average, this is the bag you want to consider. For the price ~$100 you can’t beat it. Two very large side pockets to hold running shoes. I’m a 10.5 and I can fit my shoes plus a lot of other crap in those side pockets.
