Good clip ons

just built my very first road bike, first time on 700c wheels since i started in 1995. opted with the roadie frame because i dont race that much anymore–not more than 2-3 races a year) but would still be riding and mostly alone and with a lot of traffic as well, any good clips you guys/girls can suggest? dropbar size is the 3.8 i think, anyone tried the T2+DLs?

HED Flip-Lites are great. I have them on two builds.

Oval A910 clip on’s are very nice as well but I am not remember if they come in 31.8 or not

If you want heavy and inexpensive then Profile is the way to go.

+1 for the Heds. For inexpensive, Syntace Streamliners. A tad lighter than Profile, if my memory is right.

not sure but this new build is around 3-4 lbs lighter than my blade(circa 1999) chances are it might be in the 16-17 range. i`ll look into those models but the ITU legal PD are heavy still for most i guess

Syntace makes a great product for sure and the streamliners are good for a 26.0 in small on a road bike and you can switch around the pads to stick out the back a bit more but you need that silly conversion kit for them with is a deal killer for me. Also you can not change the extension position.

i want the syntaces but my bars are oversized and not sure if my lbs has the conversion kit in stock…

Just be careful if you do go with the Syntace as the adaptor will raise the bar even more than they already are which is too high for my liking.

that`s what i was worried about as well.

If you want Syntace, get their C3 clip on. Its for oversized bars (ie: 31.8), no conversion kit needed.

Profile Design t2+ Cobra’s. Very adjustable.

ill look into the cobras but the C3s are meant i think for a more forward position on the bike and the steepest ill run will be around 75 or 74 degrees…does feel weird to ride this angle on the bike, rode earlier and have ridden steep since the 90s and now my hammys are feeling it LOL
