Not sure “new” the correct descriptor. Its still a carbon fiber composite, but with a novel matrix I’m not sure it will translate all that well to our sport. Impact resistance is important but weight is more so. I get the feeling the impact resistance comes mostly from the plastic and the strength comes mostly from the carbon.

anyone know what flexual strength is and how that differs from stiffness?
That’s what I was wondering, it looks like it’s more flexible than carbon fiber?

Definitely - might be good for lighter helmets.
Thats what I thought when I read it as well, given the ballistic props might even be good from so road rage firefights from the LR
