I’m going to be in Long Beach tomorrow on a little business trip of sorts (paying the folks at Velomax a little visit) and am looking for a nice place to ride - I’d like to just get in 2-3 easy hours. Anyone know of any roads to be on the lookout for?
The Riverbed (which runs along the 605)!!!, or you can jump on PCH.
PCH, though I’d recommend picking it up a little south of Long Beach, say Seal Beach, and go south from there.
Just watch for the contruction signs and follow the detours. They are still working on the road in Huntington Beach
Head up to Palos Verdes peninsula just north (really west) of LB. Great roads, wide shoulders, little traffic, some good hills and fantastic ocean views. You can probably do a couple of loops. If you go further north than that, you will likely hit lots of traffic and congestion.
