Nono, this goes much further than our bud. BC bud created me. These people are… well… “worse”.
Bad BC bud. The dust at the bottom of the baggie.
Tom,
That might possibly be one of the best posts I’ve ever read here on ST… Thank you for that @ ~9am on a Friday morning… Much Needed!!
Holy crap Tom, as a proud patriotic Canadian your recitation of the cross border Tim Horton’s cultural divide brought tears to my eyes.
It reminds me of the time I was in line at Timmies with my wife, who still had her American citizenship. We are both black coffee devotees, as cream and sugar should only be added to cover up horrible coffee. She turns to me and says that she would like something different, and hears customers in front of us repeatedly ordering “double-doubles”. Being the playful jackass that I am, Instead of filling her in I let her order it, I still laugh about that one. I am easily amused.
Forget writing about cycling, strokes and the FB vs. ST smackdown, this one should go on your editorial page.
Kudos.
Oh, and for the record, Timmie’s coffee tastes like caffeinated dishwater at the best of times. Starbuck’s black and bold for me.
On my way to Panera’s right now for some java and a breakfast sandwich. Their coffee rocks!

Agreed (although I have to admit I put a little milk in my coffee). I avoid Tim’s like the plague and Coffee Time is even worse.
Panera makes you a fat bastard
Panamera just makes you a bastard
.
What is this BS?
I posted a thread yesterday about athletes and triathlons and it was F’n deleted and this shit flies?!
What gives?
No way Krispy Kreme compares to Tims…Blueberry fritters, Boston Creme, Double double…mmmmmmm

"I don’t know what the Timmy’s are like in Ontario, but here is BC the Timmy’s are run by… let’s say the less intelligent "

Tim Hortons in Ontario still have the “B-Team” working at times. Usually, nights and weekends but if you hit up an Ontario Timmy’s in the morning primetime you can count on that sweet lady getting your coffee ready so fast and perfect every time. Its really amazing - sometimes the astute woman can see my car coming around the drive thru corner before i even get to the speaker and when i pull up she already knows. “Ya, i’ve got it - LG black w double cup” awesome.
as to the different coffee btwn US and Canada. I dont have a book about it like Tom D, but its different. I always pick up a coffee before i enter cross into Detroit even though there is a convenient Timmy’s near our office in Michigan… There is that much of a difference.
