Showing some love for American made road bikes…
It’s good to see the US exporting consumer products to the rest of the world rather than the other way around. My only question - are these bikes actually made on American soil with American workers or are they made offshore and “American” in name only?
Since the article refers specifically to just higher end road bikes, those are handbuilt right here in Wisconsin. I know several people at the company and all the OCLV bikes and higher end aluminum stuff is built by Cheeseheads in Waterloo.
I love seeing American goods thrive over in Europe and nothing makes me as proud to see us infiltrating new markets with homebrewed technologies.
We all benefit from this kind of exposure and I hope that Trek is able to continue to grow worldwide so they’ll be able to continue pushing out great product to us all…
…Packers rule.
