Go SERGIO!

good luck jonnyo, ride it ilke you stole
.

I’d actually love to do a sprint on that thing…

(and no Paulo, I didn’t buy it.)

yet!

I would, but at this hour the food police would be all over me!

If you think that’s disturbing you should check out the end of this thread!

Dear Ironmanlive.com,

I would really appreciate you posting the swim times, so that I can get some f’in sleep!!!

Is it just me or does the coverage (excluding CdA) just keep getting worse?

I’m out, boys. Be back for the last 10k of the run.

Is this a conspiracy to give me nightmares?? What’s wrong with you people?

Good luck, Sergio! I am going to bed.

He’s off the bike and should start running people down now! GO SERGIO!!! Bora, bora!

*“You can’t coach desire.” --Dathan Ritzenhein *

Not to go off topic here but this is a Steve Prefontaine quote, not Ritzenhein…

He just broke into the top-10 at the half-marathon mark.

GO SERGIO!!!

MEN:
Marino Vanhoenacker (#1) has won, but there’s still some battles going on out on the marathon course.

Behind him are:

  • Norbert Langbrandtner (#3) at 13:59
  • Max Longree (#21) at 17:40
  • Kai Hundertmarck (#15) at 20:16
  • Alexander Taubert (#2) at 16:50
  • Alexander Frühwirth (#9) at 17:40
  • Sergio Marques (#6) at 18:53

For someone ranked number 6 for the race anything better than that for a finish is great.

Going on IMLive he is currently 6th.

  • Norbert Langbrandtner (#3) at 13:59
  • Alexander Taubert (#2) at 16:50
  • Alexander Frühwirth (#9) at 17:40
  • Max Longree (#21) at 17:40
  • Sergio Marques (#6) at 18:53
  • Kai Hundertmarck (#15) at 20:16

So close, c’mon The Sergio!!!

7th for The Sergio…he gave it everything.
I doubt 2 guys will pass on their slots, but you never know.

GOOD JOB SERGIO!

What was his run time?

2:47…not the fastest : ) but close.
Looks like he blew up the last 6k, missed 6th by 31secs.

2:47

That’s still moving along pretty good!

Will he get his slot?

Will he get his slot?

Only if two others ahead of him pass on theirs.

clm

Not sure. From my understanding, there were 4 men’s pro slots, so two guys (which is possible but not probable) will need to pass on their slots. The winner already has a slot from his top 10 finish at Kona last year. With all the waiting last night, we have to wait some more until the awards dinner…
