Glueing magnet on wheel builder disc cover

Hey
Just tried out my wheel builder disc cover on my FP60 today. Duh I forgot to change magnet or put on. How is the best way to glue to cover or should I switch it and put on front Wheel. yes I did like the disc cover went about 20 miles on it in heavy winds with strong crosswinds. Cannot wait to get out on a nice calm day and see what it could really do. Some points during the ride seemed like I needed another gear.

The magnet on your rear spoke should work fine through the disc cover. (At least mine does.)

Steve

glue it to the inside of the cover.

X2, mine works through the cover no problem.

Damn moron I am… I put on without magnet then sealed with one of those vinyl spiral
hypnotizing stickers guess i will have to exacto blade the sticker on the nondrive side and put in. No other way i guess.

just gorilla/super glue it. it works fine.

You have used the gorilla glue no problem? I have used in other things and it seems to expand. Should I roughen up the area first.

I didn’t rough up the area at all, i just used a tissue to get the area on te wheel cover wet and put just a LITTLE bit of GG on the magnet and held it in place for about 20 seconds, job complete.

=]

Will try right now. Worst that happens I lose a two dollar magnet. There goes the kids college funds. LOL
Thanks again

How did it work out?

Took magnet off the other back wheel I have and saw that it was threaded like a screw so used two drill bits sizes down , drilled a little hole in discc cover , applied a tiny tiny bit of gorrilla glue and screwed down. Seems to be holding well. I had to flip other part of magnet reciever around because to much wire was there and touching magnet every time wheel made a complete turn. So I flipped around taunted up wire ( had to use a plastic tie) and it is working perfectly. Wish I had on this morning when riding. It was 60 and windy. Looks like there might not be a chance to ride again for a week or so.
Thanks for the help
