**4:25 p.m. **- Oh my! The peloton has just been slowed to a stop by two fellows standing in the middle of the road. The seem to be drunk and are taking swings at riders! What a couple of idiots! Fortunately, no one has been knocked off.
The whole incident seems to have taken most riders by surprise. Even as they are well down the road, many are still shaking their heads, chatting and trying to figure out what the @#$% just happened.

A Team TT triathlon in France in 94, a woman crossed the street during the ride because she didn’t accept that the road was closed while she was walking her dog…she went through when the team of then french nat. champ. Philippe Methion was going by, in a downhill at 70km/h…3 guys down…
