Why is OLN not replying the Giro coverage at night again? I checked the next 2 nights on the dish and nothing. The only coverage is in the morning, which means no afternoon or evening viewing. Seems silly to promote cycling so much and not broadcast a grand tour in primetime when most of us could watch it. Instead, we suffer through that idiot that acts like a Samurai on the outdoor shows and reruns of the LA chronicles.
This is what Tivo is for.
I guess I would rather spend that money on a new set of race wheels.
OLN is a commercial television station, and in prime time they broadcast what they think will make the great unwashed channel-surfing masses pause to watch for two minutes. That means Lance Armstrong hanging out with Cheryl Crow, and bull riding. I think we should be thankful that they have any live coverage of the Giro at all.
The do replay it at 1:00 in in the afternoon but that most likely won’t help.
I highly recommend Tivo, besides being able to watch shows whenever you want you can get through them must faster because you can skip the commercials.

Haven’t you heard? The Outdoor Life Network has changed their name to the Only Lance Network. From now on they will show only snippets of races that Armstrong does not appear in, and only in the afternoon or the middle of the night. They will however show the Lance Armstrong Chronicles repeats ad nauseum during prime time.
If Lance loses the Tour this year (or retires) you can kiss your sweet cycling coverage goodbye. OLN is riding the hype rather than looking to build a broad base of cycling/triathlon fans.
