The Alliance geometry came about after the folks from Giant went out to see Dan for a FIST workshop and realized that their 75deg STA didn’t work for most triathletes. So the geometry is really first rate. And Giant makes great bikes. My opinion is that the Trinity Alliance is the real steal in the tri-world. It’d be on my short list of bikes. You don’t need to ride it to know it’s good. You just need to see the geometry. The Alliance construction also appears to have a lot more to it than the “carbon seat stays” from a while back. I think you’d be very happy on this bike. I know I’d be happy on it.
jesus, you are like a woman, just buy a damn bike that fits you and ride it.
you will be fast on it, but not much faster than your QR
maybe you should stop reading ST and actually go train;-)

i’m retired

you’re lame.
Lschmidt, is that you? What did you do with newbz?
Downtube shape?
i need about 3 more questions today, then it might be him
.
Haven’t seen it up close yet, but the downtubes on all their TT bikes have always been good, so I think this one will be too. But I don’t know for sure.
Can’t speak to the Tri/TT version, but the Alliance A0 is my road bike, and it’s a great ride. Giant hit one out of the park with their carbon/aluminum concept. Really responsive, jumps at a turn of the cranks, without being too harsh on you butt. If I weren’t thoroughly content with my Argon 18 tri bike, the Trinity would be on my short list.
