Did I miss something? I was looking at the Giant website, and I can’t find their tri bikes anymore. Did they drop them for 2015?
I heard they will announce the Tri / TT line in the spring.
Yup. No new Giant Tri bikes for 2015. They are completely redesigning the Trinity for 2016. Not sure if it will still be called the Trinity or something else.
Giant dealers are offering the Propel Aero in a Tri configuration though. Pretty sweet looking set up and really light for a tri-bike. Look at the TdF this year for some images on what it looks like built up like that.
I’m curious to see what they bring out for 2016.
Interesting. Thank you for the info, everybody!

I say this as a Trinity owner, but good god I hope they make the front end less of a pain in the ass. The only time I like that bike is when I’m riding it. Everything else about it is a major pain

Composite or Advanced? I’ve got a Trinity Composite waiting for me back home when I return from this deployment and I’m curious what type of pains I’ve got to look forward to.

I have the Composite and it is no more difficult to work on than any other road bike. The Advanced has a proprietary system on the front end with a shroud over where the stem and head tube are. The Composite has a normal stem and head tube, so you should not have any problems with it. Both have the front brake behind the fork, but that is not hard to work on, I’ve adjusted mine a couple of times already just to dial in my feel for the brakes.
I have a 2013 TC1, it’s amazing, never had a single issue.
I love the bike to death, looks great and rides incredible smooth. Have ridden a few other tri bikes, specifically a cervelo P3 and did not like it one bit and also had an old QR Lucero that was pretty good. But the TC is the best (imo).

The advanced. The Composite is pretty standard, but I think even by superbike standards, the Trinity Advanced is a nightmare to work on, travel with, etc.
They certainly still offer the Trinity SL in Australia - just updated colours from 2014.

+1. Looking at the most recent UCI frame approval list (http://www.uci.ch/mm/Document/News/Rulesandregulation/16/60/87/ListofApprovedModelsofFramesandForks_English.pdf), there is an entry for “Trinity Adv Pro MY16” which was approved on 28/05/2015.
I’d expect it to be released imminently in the run up to the Tour.
Presumably it is this:

Yep. That looks like the one
Any further details on this yet? Looks like Giant are having their international model release this weekend? Thought there might be some leaks…?

Haven’t heard anything from our Giant rep yet. Just that it is 'coming".
Same here…I have a Giant Trinity Composite 2014 (was the last frameset sold in the US!) built up with Ultegra 11s, Hed 6 c2 wheels, and a pretty standard cockpit (zipp Vuka clip). The bike looks great and rides incredibly smooth but still feels really stiff. I have ridden Felts and Cervelos. I like this bike more and specc’ed it much more affordably than I could have gotten Ultegra on the other brands. I wonder if they will do a composite model or just do the advanced line for the new models?
I reckon it looks pretty sweet (based on the TdF coverage).

Has anybody heard anything on a release date yet?
There was a thread, “New Liv Giant Avow at 70.3 worlds.” It looks more triathlon-specific and sort-of shows up on their international site (no photo). Maybe an official release for Kona?
I wish they would hurry up. I am starting to shop for a tri bike, and my favorite shop sells Giant. I want to have an option.
