Getting fit in MN

Any suggestions?

I’m visiting Minneapolis for 10 days in July. Is it worth the airfare to Bikesportmichigan

Bringing my transition along to get fit on. If the verdict is that the frame doesn’t fit, I might just spring for a new one.

I think it’s definately worth the gas to Gear West.

Googleing everything, it seems as though GearWest is the place to go unless I want to travel.

GW would be the best place around for a tri fit…

When in July?

I swear MN has more triathletes and golfers per capita than any other city.

Why not get fit by the fastest triathlon cyclist in the US?

Gonna be in Minneapolis from 9-19 July.

For the tri?

If so, plenty of top coaches in town who may offer up their services as well.

I realized after I bought my plane ticket that the race was on.

Haven’t decided if I’m gonna enter, will end up with a kinda tight schedule for an unfit person like my self.

  1. June - Half-Mary
  2. July - HIM
  3. July - Lifetime?? Oly? Maybe short…
  4. July - Kalmar Ironman

Go see Kevin O’Connor at Gear West, you will not regret it.

no- save your time and money and go to Gear West
.

Yep- Gear West. Great shop and great people. One thing to keep in mind though is that bike fit is very subjective and they tend to lean towards a comfortable bike fit versus an aggressive bike fit the majority of the time. If you ride really steep and very shallow make sure you tell them that or you are likely to end up in more of a comfort position. In the end I am sure they will get you into the most comfortable and powerful position possible- but I wouldn’t expect it to be approved by many of the posters on this forum.

Ok, I’ll be sure to post before and after pictures. And this time I’ll make sure that there is a terrible mess in the background…

Spoken to GearWest, I’m gonna give them a call when I’m Stateside

I wouldn’t bother posting it here. Most of the people that are sure to chime in wont have anything useful to say. Then there are the ones that will tell you to get as low as possible no matter if it works for you or not. I just don’t see a benefit.
