anyone have any ideas? mine are pretty bloodied up from a crash a few weeks ago. My shoulder feels better so i am gonnna give it a whirl this weekend and my girlfriend (the germaphobic nurse) is having a cow about me even thinking of putting them on looking like that
I’d leave it on… there will be enough sweat and rain to wash it off in due time. It’ll be a great conversation
piece…
Keep it on. It looks tough. Just make up a great crash story.
Is your girlfriend afraid you will catch a crazy virus from… yourself?

try club soda

try club soda
With some Vodka and a twist of lemon…
Better get that off they might get you for blood doping
.
What are you, a girl? Blood on shoes is cool - and I agree…a good conversation piece. Keep it on there and let your girlfriend deal.
If she wants them to be clean so badly, let her do it and figure it out herself.
I bloodied up a new pair of running shoes at Steelhead pretty bad. I like wearing them around.
If I knew how to post pix on here from my Mac, I would. I’ve tried and failed miserably. I have great post-race photos of the bloody mess.
Cool?
Peroxide works great …
When you find out, let me know! All of my clothes and shoes have blood spatter all over them. I’d like to find a way to get rid of it that CSI can’t detect too…
Hydrogen peroxide will work. We used to use on the football players uniforms to remove blood when I was in Athletic Training. And now I use it when I spill blood on my scrubs at the hospital. It’ll still work if the blood is dry, but it may take a few applications. Why is your girlfriend having a cow, it is your blood, its not like you can give yourself something? Very few bloodborne pathogens can actually live after the blood is dry. Or have her buy you some new shoes?
nobody makes me bleed my own blood-nobody!!
November last year , I took out a flatbed ![]()
Got six stitches in the shin after cycling home ( yes I ride Titanium ). Anyway there was a fair amount of blood puddles at traffic lights I stopped at on the way so the shoe went from grey ( Shimano carbon ) to a dark brown / red.
I put them in a bucket of bleach / water for 2 days and let them soak. Changed that to a fresh solution of the same after rinsing. They were like new after 5 or 6 days
Good luck and hope you heal up well ![]()
