Get together for the Boise 70.3

Who on here is racing Boise 70.3? Are any of you interested in getting together on Friday to go rafting? If the water level is right for rafting, I was looking to meet at Ann Morrison Park just before 1pm, to catch a shuttle to Barber Park. They have inflatable tube and kayak rentals there, and then just float/paddle the 6 miles back to Ann Morrison. Figured this would be a fun activity during my brief vacation in Boise for the race.

You all go out and get yourselves tired out rafting. I’ll be sitting on my butt resting up!

I am from boise and I am not sure they are letting people float right now, plus the water is really really really cold. I wouldn’t make any plans to do that on friday.

The water for floating is about 50 degrees and flowing near flood stage. Its only for expert kayakers with dry tops right now. Wait till after the race and go with a guide on a trip down the Payette just north of town. Check out Cascade Raft Co. I think they will pick you up in town even.

What are you hearing for water temps at Lucky Peak on Saturday?

Thanks for the heads up on river conditions. I must have been checking the wrong site. Bit of a shame because I thought that’d be great way to spend the afternoon. I’m sure I’ll find something in town to preoccupy my prerace jitters

58 from the doc at Barclay Bay yesterday at noon.

I think that’s 4 or 5 degrees cooler than last year. Is that correct?

that is correct.
