Get a bike shipped to a hotel?

hi everyone -
going to be visiting the US next year, and considering buying a bike online, and then having it shipped to the hotel i’m staying at.

is this kosher? anyone done it?

For a race I had my biked shipped to a hotel Cheaper than taking with me. Had no problems

I shipped my bike to a hotel about 25 times over the past three years without a problem at the hotel. Thanks. Doug

I’ve done same with no problems. I always let hotel know it is coming just to be safe.
