Ah, finally “reality” tv I can get into.
Getting ready for work this AM, managed to catch our very own Gerard and Cervelo featured on a local morning TV show (Breakfast Television). BT isn’t a news show, it’s more like a talk show, and they have a roving reporter (Jen) who goes to all sorts of local events, etc.
Didn’t see the whole segment, but Jen was getting the tour of the Mission Control Cervelo, courtesy of Gerard (lucky, lucky woman). As I missed the lead-in, I assume the gist of the story was “local bike manufacturer makes bikes for TDF”. Gerard was showing off the computer that measures flex on a frame, and the machine that essentially drops weights on frames to test their strength. He showed off a competitor’s frame (unbadged), that didn’t pass the test. It looked like it had been through a meat grinder. As well there, was a large crate of what looked to be “failed” frames in the background…I’m pretty sure I saw Tibbsy’s “P3” in there;).
Nice segment Gerard. As always, Cervelo came off looking great. Great Cervelo shirt, too.
