Weren't Lemond's natural numbers high, even for a pro cyclist? I remember reading quotes from him where he talked about EPO hitting, and him going from being in front, to having 15 - 20 guys ahead of him, despite having the same power/weight numbers as previous years. I guess Ryder is very fortunate that while he was not on anything for his Giro win, noone else either!
IIRC LeMond was tested in the low 90’s. He was basically crushing everyone everywhere as a teenager and didn’t slow down when he went to Europe. This was well before O2 vector drugs.
