Geek Squad Question (1)

I purchased a cheap used computer to bring with me to Iraq and I’ve spent the last couple days cleaning it up. I was using an uninstaller to remove some of the programs and after deleting a music player I lost all of the programs under All Programs on the Start Tab. Ive tried doing a system restore but for some reason it goes through the process then tells me that it cant do it and no changes have been made. I would just wipe the hard drive but I do not have any of the oirginal CDs to reinstall the drivers.

So any idea how to get my programs back under All Programs? (The progrmas are still on my HD and the short cuts are still on the desktop) Thanks in advance.

It sounds like all you need to do is modify your Start menu. Go to Start…Settings…Taskbar and Start Menu. You can add programs to your start menu in there.
