Hi all,
Planning to spend some hard-earned savings or ask Santa Claus for an electronics-training-race-pack.
Currently training with a Polar RCX5 met GPS sensor. It’s ok but I’m missing quite a few things.
I would like to train for the bike with a GPS unit, with power data and HRM. For the run and swim, integrated GPS (to get speed/pace/distance info) is important. So after some reviews I came up with the following dream ‘pack’:
- Garmin 920XT as the main item
- Garmin 810 edge for the GPS functions on the bike (map, directions, quick view of data)
- Garmin Vector pedals for power measuring
I assume minimum problems due to connectivity and compatibility, and the pedals can be moved from one bike to the next pretty quickly.
What do you think ? What is your experience ? Any obvious downsides ?
Is there an alternative that could come close (Polar family, …) ?
Thanks,
