Garmin Connect download

I have tried to scan thru all the Garmin threads but i do not see the answer i am looking for so here is my question… I have downloaded the new Garmin Express… I have synched up my 910xt…says sync is successful…but when i go to Garmin Connect online, i do not see my last 2 workouts, although i did see the “transferring data” displayed on my watch. So i tried the upload feature on Garmin Connect and says that it can’t find my watch. I know the ANT is good being i just synched it up with the Garmin Express. Any suggestions?

Can’t help I’m afraid - I’ve got the same problem - very frustrating
.

Express has been terrible for doing stuff like that. I’ve reverted to Ant Agent and keeping express shut off.

GE does two things…first it transfers between the watch and the computer, then it uploads from the computer to garmin connect.

Check first to see if the data made the first jump. In windows 7, the locally stored directory is: “C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\GarminConnect\Forerunner 910XT-\Upload\FIT_TYPE_4”

If the files are there, then you can upload them manually, but I would guess your firewall is blocking GE from automagically uploading them.
If your files are not there, then I would look into re-installing GE and the garmin communicator plugin and then a hard reset of the watch as a last resort (which would delete your workouts).

i liked the ANT Agent better. How can i go back to that? any idea?

did you delete it? I think it’s stll available but I’m not positive.

me and all my friends all have garmin devices, all of us are experiencing bluetooth uploading issues. and have been for over a month

GE is just awful. Google Ant Agent and reinstall that. That’s what I did. However, not the issue is that I can’t send routes or workouts from Connect to my device without GE. However, if I install GE it will uninstall ANT.

Garmin is like Apple. So much potential, yet consistently releasing crappy products, which people buy anyways.

100% agree, so much potential. but can quite deliver.

The 910 does not use BT. Bummer for you, but it just isn’t relevant.

Not as far as I know, I have both on my computer, (W7 inspiron laptop)
.

Garmin express and Garmin connect are both largely piles of crap.

Today in particular, however I’ve been having trouble uploading my data. It seems like the servers might just be down temporarily.

was referring to the 510. do you get off calling people out on message boards?

So I re-installed ANT Agent. And it basically downloaded all the workouts from the time I started using GE but it finally stanched up with Garmin Connect. Thanks for all the replys.

Less so than than people who are blanket complaining about an issue without trying to resolve it.

The Ant+ agent worked really well, but just like GTC, it is no longer being supported by Garmin. Once the connection between the Ant+ agent and Garmin connect breaks, everyone who has stuck with it will then be forced to move onto GE.
I am simply trying to help people make that transition now.

GE had been flakey for me for the first week or so, but since then…pretty solid. I have had to tweak the settings a few times, but it works just fine now. If I can help someone using what I learned struggling with it, I want to do that.

Agree. I’ve got data from IM Canada on my 500, I can look at it on the device, but device agent won’t work, Garmin Ex won’t work.

Try deleting the device from Garmin Express then re-adding it.

This is what I did as well. I ended up googling ANT Agent to find it on garmins website since they are pushing GE. I also changed the website back to the ‘old’ interface which allowed me to upload…

I could not upload a planned interval workout to my Garmin 620 yesterday. I did not have any time to debug the issue, but I am on a Mac and everything looked like it was working. The workout just wouldn’t show up on my watch. This was the first time I tried to do this since the Garmin Connect redesign. I really rely on this feature, so I hope it is something that is resolved soon!

Downloading with Garmin Express was hit and miss with my 910XT, I ditched it and went back to using ANT agent and have no issues. I know a few months back the Garmin forums stated this as a known problem and recommended uninstalling Garmin Express for those with 910XT until they have a solution.
