Just confirmed…its on the US Roadrunner Sports site (http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/GAR116/) as well!!

Listing for $400.

Looks a lot like my FR305, only a bit smaller and with sealed buttons…looks like the perfect triathlon tool. I think I just figured out what my birthday present to me is gonna be!!

Spot

There were a few threads about this back in January. Haven’t heard anything about release dates, but Garmin would probably kill it in sales on this little gem just with Slowtwitchers! Hey, anyone in the market for a Garmin 305…slightly used?

Whoops…strike that. It’s out now? This isn’t April Fool’s is it?

No “order” button and it’s listed as “out of stock”.

I want that!!!

RoadRunnerSports is accepting pre-orders. Estimated shipping is May 15.

That thing looks pretty awesome.

Anyone know if it’s Mac compatible?

ANT+… So power will be displayed?

Looks like that might be a bit too big to fit underneath a wetsuit sleeve.

Father’s Day.

this is a water proofed 305, with power display

I think I’ll wait a year to see how it works out. Because I just have a hard time seeing how a “gps” unit is “waterproof”. I imagine there will be some bugs to work out first.

Looks nice and all, but…Why do you need GPS during a race? Why won’t a nice HRM do?

Bob

Nothing on the Garmn site. FR60 is shown as available 2nd quarter.

Light has just come on…It’s still April 1 in USA

Why do you hate America?

Actually, it looks pretty close to the other pictures we’ve already seen of
the unit, so I suspect 4/1 isn’t at play.

That being said, Garmin release dates are like the Chronicles of Narnia or
Lord of the Rings. They are works of fiction.

I think that I’ll just stick with my 305. I really don’t have time to look at my pace while swimming anyway. And the race results always tell me what my pace for the swim was. On the bike and run, i get the HTFU turned on when I see my pace dropping.

On the garmin site: http://garmin.blogs.com/pr/2009/04/garmin-gives-fitness-a-facelift-with-forerunner-310xt-the-waterproof-multi-sport-watch-with-longer-battery-life.html
Looks like ‘summer 09’ is the date now. Be a cool new tool when it finally comes out

I’m with you on that. I stopped using my 305 unless I was riding my bike or running somewhere I didn’t know the length of route. I switched to a Suunto T6c and I love it. I find the EPOC and TE information pretty valuable in planning workouts.
