I use a Powertap (SL+ ) in conjunction with a Garmin 310XT. I noticed yesterday, while coasting down a 2 mile hill, that the 310XT was displaying 50-70 watts of power (and I wasn’t pedaling). Has anybody experienced this?
Wondering if there is some sort of calibration that I need to do? …though I read both product manuals and haven’t found any information.

Yes there is a calibration.
Look in your 310Xt manual under “using accessories, power meter”
Power Meter Power Calibration
For calibration instructions specific to your power meter, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Before you can calibrate your power meter, it must be properly installed and actively recording data. You must be in bike sport mode.
Press **mode **> select **Settings **> **Bike Settings **> bike name > ANT+Power.
Select **Yes **in the Power Meter Present? field.

Keep your power meter active by pedaling until the message appears.
