Garmin 310XT Cracked!

OMG… So my Garmin 310xt fell from the bathroom sink onto the Floor and when I picked it up i noticed two big Cracks on the screen! My question is can I send it back to Garmin so they Can fix it? What are my options? I know the warranty does not Cover clumsiness…

Or should i just take the loss and buy a new one?

Any help would be great!

  1. Insurance?

  2. Call Garmin and see if they can fix it

  3. See if a watch repairer can fix it - assuming the internals are ok

  4. Buy a new one

you’ll get a more accurate answer from Garmin I would think.

Yep, call Garmin.

I’m guessing they’re willing to do whatever they can to get more positive spin around this device.

My first 310 was freezing up in the water. I called the retailer I bought it from to say it was malfunctioning, expecting to be told to contact Garmin for a long conversation about resetting and such, and they just said they would send me a new one. Didn’t even ask what was wrong. I even offered to tell them what was wrong and they didn’t want to know.

They sent out a UPS call tag for the old one and shipped the new one.

Thanks Guys… I sent an email out to the Garmin Service center for any possible options. Hopefully I can pay to get this LCD screen Fixed…

heres a pic of my garmin…

The only watch i see in that pic is that Sea-Dweller.

THAT happened because it fell off the bathroom sink?

Same thing happened to my 310 - Garmin replaced it free of charge. My 305 has flown off my bike, been dropped numerous times and nothing. The 310 screen must be a different material
