Garmin 305 question (2)

Is there any way to view all the data fields after a workout? Or, are you stuck with the 4 fields you set(if you set 4) on the main screen or 2nd screen? I didnt set my average HR in one of the fields and when I finished my ride, couldnt find it anywhere.

Did you look at the history for that workout? I believe it shows the data there.

I did not, makes sense that it would be there now that you say it. LOL. Thanks, I will check.

I don’t use mine for biking, but for running, it definately shows averages like pace and HR for total workout, and each lap in the history file. You should be set now.

Check out the Garmin Connect software (free). It gives you a bit more data than what you can see on your watch, easiery to interpret and has neat graphs. Very cool IMO.

I will download the disk and check it out. Thanks to both of you.

As someone else mentioned, you can check the history for more data.

You can also designate which data are displayed on the screens (do this in the setup mode). So you can designate avg HR as one of the display fields (but you have to give up something else that you are currently displaying).

you may want to check dcrainmaker`s blog…very helpful read. Read his review first before i got myself one.

That’s a great review. Garmin should include that link to every 305 sold.

I got a 305 for Xmas and of course tried to use it before reading all the instructions!

Nice little gadget!

Garmin Training Centre (Center) is the computer based data analysis software, Garmin Connect is the cloud based version, both free from Garmin. Like most free services they have limitations but serve well as a good start point for post ride activity analysis.

Better options abound including SportTracks(Windoze only), Rubitrack (Mac) and RunningFreeOnline for cloud based. All allow for easy data transfer from your device to the program or internet
