Anyone see that you can buy a footpod to use with the Garmin 305 for places where the signal is weak.
This footpod has been discussed at some length on the GarminF yahoo list. Unfortunately the pod doesn’t compliment the GPS, and the wrist unit doesn’t (yet) integrate the data from the two. At present it’s stated purpose is indoor use on a treadmill where GPS isn’t useful, so it is a replacement for the GPS component. It also doesn’t do running cadence or stride length like the Polar RS800sd s3 pod does. I have seen some unconfirmed rumors that the next generation of footpod & forerunner will support the integration of the 2 sensors.
