Gait Video--Recommend a Shoe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_zEhoO7eZc&feature=youtu.be

I’m currently running in Brooks Pure Connect’s but I think they are too mushy. Previously I’ve ran in Merrell Trail Gloves (I got a stress fracture after a few months of 50 mile weeks), I’ve tried Altra to get zero drop w/ some extra padding but I didn’t like them that much. I’m torn, I like lower drop (around 4mm) shoes but I think my legs appreciate some extra padding. Any ideas on a light weight, low drop, comfortable shoe w/ a good amount of room in the toe box. Too give you an idea of my foot shape, I can’t run in Nike’s without losing skin on my small toe, Trail Gloves fit perfectly.

This video was after 90 mins on the treadmill, alibi, I’m still unpacking after moving.

Thanks for the help.

Raising the camera to view you foot strike would help with assessment - as well as a side view - that said, recommendations include the Saucony Virrata, Mizuno Hitogami (maybe not enough drop for you?) - and another option is to go with your favorite shoe and add a thin spenco footbed under the factory insole to provide a little more cushion. Good luck. ao
