.
Yeah, I just saw those on cyclingnews and they look pretty sweet. I wish we could get a better look at those extensions.
Here is what they said about them:
"First up is the latest incarnation of Deda’s time trial handlebar combo, the Aeroblack 0° and a new serobar extension, the Fastblack. The carbon fiber Aeroblack 0° is suitable for Ergopower and reversed brake levers and has channels for internal cable routing with 4-way adjustable armrests. It’s available in 42, 44 and 46cm widths, measured edge to edge.
The FastBlack centre extensions in carbon fiber are designed for handlebars with a 31.75mm centre section and are available with the same 4-way adjustable armrests as the AeroBlack. "
I don’t think that Deda and ITM get the aero bar thing, this new Deda looks cool at first look but if you look harder at them they are missing the boat on some points. First the base bar dose not look to aero and the ends were you would mount your brake levers are pointing towards the sky instead of more towards the front ah la Oval and Hed.
But they do look very cool, oh and bring money!!
Dan…
At least they are longer than the Ovals. I put the A700’s on my pursuit bike and was thinking about using it for road time trials but I have barely room to wrap two fingers around the horns - made descending quite a bit more exciting than normal on a fixed since I was wondering if my hands were going to fly off from lack of a grip.
That base bar is sexy but doesn’t look that aero. Betcha if Kraig tested it I’d be correct.
Nothing a hack saw wouldn’t take care of. just cut out the curve.
