No question here only writing about a weird powertap reading and how I fixed it:
I bought a used powertap pro to use while I have my SL serviced. So I used the computer and wiring harness already on my bike. When I put the powertap pro wheel on my bike the wattage would read higher the faster I went when coasting (ie 50 watts at 14mph 65W at 15mph 75W at 17mph). But when the bike wasn’t moving (0mph) there would be 0 watts. I started changing out batteries and moving the sharkfin sensor around without any luck.
I tried zeroing the torque which I thought would have fixed it but it did nothing. So then I tried the stomp test: Measured torque=weight in lbs x cranks length x ect. Was getting ready to call saris thinking the torque tube might be messed up, but ended up changing the computer first. Who’d a thought that you can’t use an SL computer head with a pro hub, even tho they are both yellow and look exactly the same. Never heard of this so I thought I’d post it.
