On the ‘out’ portion of the IMAZ bike course today, I made it to the turnaround in 1:33:23 for and avg speed of 18.0 mph
On the ‘back’ portion it took me 1:14:30 for about 22.6 mph avg speed.
As Desertdude mentioned there was a headwind on the way back, so I wasn’t hitting the 29-31 mph pace for that long section of the beeline hwy leading back to the transition area.
The prevailing wind is usually a headwind on the way out and a tailwind on the way back.
