say. did not the prologue winner use a non-aero 30 mm front wheel ?? a DA, i think, but am not sure. interesting. maybe the team spent the $ for the swank 3 spokes on a few extra front derailleurs for guides, and told the fellas " never mind that windtunnel and ‘the front wheel is most important’ crap - it is the engine, son". 
look at the placing in the prologue and at the bicycle weight to see if there is a correlation? Maybe it would get us back to that old thread as to whether heavier is faster or, at least, weight is inconsequential in a flat TT.
I doubt it, Tylers tubular Zipp 404 is lighter than the Shimano wheel, is it not?
