it now appears that the C.V. of TdF bike mechanics now must include some drawing skills …

Wow…I guess those guys have way too much time on their hands.
Of course, you know the old hot rod saying “If it doesn’t go…chrome it!”
wtf it doesn’t even match the pattern on the rest of the wheel…
I would have to see that in motion if you can tell a difference.
Wild guess: no, you don’t.
His “drawn in” spokes appear to be broken : ) They zig when they shouldn’t have : )
.
wtf it doesn’t even match the pattern on the rest of the wheel…
it does at 50 km/hr
I hope his mechanical skills are better than his drawing skills!
Rik
Sharpie the wonder tool…it’s just not for name badge engineering…
Someone explain this to me.
I understand what the mechanic is doing, and why he’s doing it.
I understand the function of a wheelcover.
I Don’t understand why you would put graffics on your wheel cover that look like spokes…especially 1970’s Cadillac spokes.
I can only make two guesses:
Its a lightweight (as in the company) disc. Those “spokes” are CF filaments attaching the hub to the rim, and then an additional lightweight sheet of some plastic is bonded on top of the spokes.
It’s all functional. Weird, but functional.

Amazing picture!

Ah, my bad.
Look at that, says so right in the background.
I thought they (as in the company) had bigger “tape” filaments making up their “spokes”?
Cool design. Bad “look”, afic.

i was thinking the same thing …
Or something called a JOKE. It’s funny, it’s ok… you’re Allowed to laugh. Well At least it’s amusing to me.
I sure hope he drew the valve stem also, otherwise, no one would be able to find it if he flatted!
