Full shoulder MRI report

So the anticipation is killing me until late next week when I meet the ortho. Just interested to know if anyone has had any of this and what they went through. The pain has been here for 18 years and I’m looking forward to rehabbing. Sounds like nothing at all to me, just a little bit worn down maybe?

"increased intensity is present in the supraspinatus anterodistally. This is consistent with inflammation, degeneration and contusion , but no tear. The subscapularis, infraspinatus and teres minor tendons are intact. There is no atroply or fatty infiltration involving the muscle bundles of the rotary cuff. The biceps tendon seen in the biciptial groove in an anatomic position. The anterior labrum is very small and this is probably a normal variant.

There is mild subacomial bursitis present.

Impression:

  1. Inflammation, degeneration and contusion of the supraspinatus, but no tear.

  2. Bursitis.

Thoughts? Other than my pathetic transcription skills?
