I have the Nathan Speed 2 and it’s been great. I decided to try the Fuelbelt Revenge R20 and have found that it moves or bounced quite a bit more and the bottles are more difficult to drink out of- maybe just be my lack of coordination and body type?? Anyway, Has anyone tried the Nathan Speed 4 and the Trailmix 4 or even the Fuelbelt 4 bottle belt? Would love some feedback between the them.
How about Amphipod? I used to use fuelbelt and went through 3 of them in three years. Ttied a Nathan’s in and around my local running shop but didn’t like the feel. Tried the Amphipod and immediately like it. It stays where I put it and the bottles easily snap in/out of the holders. I bought the four bottle but you can easily remove or add bottle holders to accommodate what you need each run. I believe the Amphipod bottles have the largest mouth as well so if ice in your bottles is your thing you’re covered.
I used fuel belts many years ago. Eventually it stretched. Been happy with the nathan. I also am happy with the Nathan two large bottle. My 22oz polar bottles fit just as well as a 16oz. . Probably more than you need though
On trails I have always had the bottles bounce out
I’ve never had a bottle bounce out, then again I don’t run too rugged of trails. The only time I’ve had bottles hit the ground is if I tried too quickly to put them back and simply missed the bracket.
I’ve had a Nathan Trail Mix 2 bottle belt for years. Love it and have done several ultras, including a 50-miler with that belt. Very little bounce, at least for me.
