Before you mindless Bush blowhards freak out because someone has a bad thing to say about your Chosen One, just back the fuck up and know that I think Kerry sucks too. He’s a pushover, a pussy, and has the convictions of a shifting wind.

I have family and friends who worked in his administration as well as a couple of his predecessors. They left for greener pastures. One family member was deemed as a traitor to the administration and acused of turning and jumping ship. He left for a better job, a better opportunity and had been looking, for a long time, to get out of the government. Rather than being thanked for years of service, the response of the administration was to launch FBI investigations, force job offers to be recinded, and take food out of my nieces mouths. Class fucking acts. That’s how you encourage people to serve.

These are people who worked on September 11th, they didn’t hide like pussies in a bunker or shiver in a kiddygarten classroom. They made decisions and acted. Bush is typical. He’s a bully and a coward. (Odd how those things seem to go together.) I know he’ll win again this year, and I’m not sure that’s a bad thing given his competition. I can understand being against Bush or against Kerry. I can’t comprehend being an honest supporter of either. Anyone who can believe in or get inspired by either one of these two jackasses honestly scares the crap out of me.

Pooks, a lot of people feel like you do. There seems to be an incredible amount of unrest, both within the US, and globally that is revolving around a struggle for energy/power. Nader and Badnarik are both better choices, but neither of them has a chance obviously. I would feel much more respect towards the Republican and Democratic presidential candidates if they were John McCain and Dennis Kucinich or Howard Dean. I believe those men know better how to forge a path with a unified mind and heart. My intuition tells me that at our current rate of acceleration down the path we are on, whatever you want to label it, some type of revolution is near. I don’t know if “near” means 8 years 2 months and 5 days (end of Mayan calendar), or 100 years, but relatively speaking in terms of civilization both of those dates are near and our country was founded by revolution so it’s undeniably in our blood. Maybe this is simply further revealing my naivete (why can’t we do an alt+130 on this program to get an accented “e”?), but it also seems this revolution began almost 150 years ago, midnight of July 9/10 1856. Who’d of guessed an electrician from Serbia would be the seed of the revolution? Free energy will eliminate the overwhelming power of the few over the many and will introduce us to the new age of aquarius, and whatever the hell that will bring.

One of the problems is the billions we spend isn’t really going where it is needed. There are needy people in this country that aren’t fat, lazy slobs and all they get are cuts to the services that are there to help them.

No, a problem is the billions that we spend and simply don’t have. The massive deficit we are living with should be the single biggest political issue of this election. Instead neither candidate cares.

Anyone remember what finally brought the Soviet Union to its knees? No, if wasn’t “democracy”, it was finances and massive deficit spending.

Spending too much is spending too much, I don’t care if its bombs or welfare. The fucking party sheep can continue to waste their time with this insignificant bickering over their particular pet money pits. I don’t necessarily care about the poor and I don’t necessarily care about Saddam, if you’re going to take my money, spend it wisely.

Let’s keep this on topic. Neither candidate is suitable as a prison bathroom attendant…

It’s not that I expected him to sprout a cape and save the day. I have issues with how his administration handles people and relationships. This includes relationships with foreign countries, staff members, political opponents, and dissenters. You would think those who have spent years upon years in service of their country, to the point where they work in the top levels of government, (not politicians, mind you) would earn some modicum of respect. Not from this administration if their views are not 100% lock-step in line with its’.

The administration is incapable of effectively managing relationships. They have to convince people/groups to work with them. They do not inspire, through leadership, people to want to work with them, to seek them out. This is Bush’s administration. How it behaves and its policies are his responsibility. I know I’m reaching, I never expect him to take the position that “The buck stops here.”

Maybe I have misplaced anger with the situation with my family. I accept that. But my issue is bigger than that. My issue is the environment under which this administration operates. No dissent. Us or them. Unwillingness to interact with the press and therefore the people. Too “strong” to need help. Incapable of making or admiting error. Deaf to differing ideas. “Bring 'em on.” Qualities that remind me of a spoiled two year old. These are problems with establishing, maintaining, anf furthering relationships.

For all the rhetoric about “spreading liberty”, this administration is a master of building walls.

Guy, I’ve spent some time in the Beltway. They’re all government toadies and suckasses who’re constantly stabbing each other in the back in an effort to ensure that the next administration will find some rat warren for them, should they get the heave-ho from the present administration.

Oh, and Bill Clinton making Les Aspin the first Secretary of Defense was a real stroke of genius. It was cause of that nimrod, along with a host of other idiots in the civilian chain that 20 Americans got their asses wasted by a bunch of khat-eating, worm infested Islamic radicals who were most likely organized and led by OBL even back then. But I forget, Billy and the rest of the cretins running things back then thought we should be treating these assholes like criminals, and hauling them before some sort of judicial court instead of treating them like the genetically-deformed scumbags that they were.

Feel better??

It’s a phenomenon I find as predictable as it is fascinating. I make a few negative comments about Bush and someone launches into an anti-Clinton tirade. WTF??? Anyone on this thread holding Clinton up as the model?
