FSA slk light vs team issue?

I need to change my FSA SLK Light 172.5 to a 175. Should I go with the SLK or is the FSA Team Issue a better crank, thanks for the advise.

If you have the $$, get away from FSA. The shifting is not reliable.

Ultegra crankset is better than top of the line FSA.

No kidding. Ask around.

That was a really broad sweeping statement which is hard to agree with.

The FSA team issue crank is actually quite heavy and in my opinion, outdated for what it is.

Despite what the person above said, the Energy crankset gets good reviews, is about 50 grams lighter than the team issue crankset and is fairly reliable. It’s actually fairly close in weight to the FSA SLK Light.

Furthermore, the downsde to FSA’s cranks in most people’s opinions is the bearings. Good news though, FSA and Shimano have swappable bearings as far as I know.

In general though, I will agree with the other poster that people report more longetivity and snappier shifter with Shimano or SRAM. The Shimano Dura Ace crankset and SRAM Force are both great options which if I had the money I would look at before the FSA SLK.

All I need to do is go to a longer arm length, a 175. I currently have the FSA slk in a 172.5. Everything is shifting fine now with Dura Ace.
