FSA SL-K MegaExo Crankset w/ TT Chainring + Brand new Ultegra BB
So, the story of this 172.5 crankset goes something like this:
1 - In roughly 2006 I purchased this crankset brand new (it’s a standard) for my road bike
2 - From 2007-2008 I stop riding my bike for the most part (sporadically at best)
3 - In 2009 start riding my bike again in earnest except for I’ve switched this crankset to my (new to me) tri bike
4 - From Feb-August of 2009 I put 4000 miles or so onto the crankset and BB in this form
5 - August of 2009 install new FSA 54t “aero” chainring
6- From then to now accumulate another 4000 miles or so, mostly in the big chainring.
7 - purchase new Ultegra BB but never install it
So, this crankset in its current iteration has about a year’s worth of miles on the outer 54t chainring, 2-3 years worth on the inner, 39t chainring, and combine that for total mileage on the whole package.
I still have the old outer chainring and the FSA MegaExo BB which I’m more than willing to include.
All that being said, this thing has seen some miles but it will still work quite well for anyone.
